1.    The Environment

• Set in rural northwestern Florida, Chipola Junior College has a beautiful campus and a relaxing environment.
• Chipola Junior College is located in Marianna, Florida and is therefore situated only about an hour from Panama City Beach, Florida.
• While college can be a very stressful time in a young adult's life, Chipola Junior College tries to make the transition a smooth one.  The beautiful environment helps to curb this stress.
• Many pains have been taken to ensure a natural look on the campus at Chipola.  Even the parking lots are designed to reduce the number of tree that would have to be removed.
• Situated in Marianna, near the banks of the Chipola River, the campus only uses about 40 of its 105 acres.
• And for relaxation, the school has a pool complex, which was added in 1992.

• The class sizes at Chipola Junior College are rather small.  This allows for more individual attention from the instructors, thus a better education.
• With society's push toward technological advancement, computers become a very important issue.  At Chipola, at any given time, most anyone can gain access to a networked computer.  These computers can be used for document processing research, or internet use.
• Chipola utilizes a Success Center, Writing Center, and Math and Science Computer Lab with faculty to help the student outside of regular class time.

• The small class size not only allows for better student-teacher communication, but also for strong student-student relationships.
• While education is the number one priority at Chipola, there are still many opportunities for fun and fellowship.
• The down-home friendliness and hometown atmosphere may merely be a part of the northwestern Florida culture, but it nevertheless exists at Chipola.
